"Bennifer" couple will eventually be disbanded...Jennifer Lopez files for divorce

 Hollywood star couple Jennifer Lopez, 55, and Ben Affleck, 52, will be disbanded.

U.S. media, including the Associated Press and TMZ, reported on the 20th (local time) that Lopez filed for divorce in a Los Angeles (LA) court.

It has been about two years since the two got married in July 2022 and formed a couple's relationship.


TMZ said the two did not seem to have considered the possibility of divorce at all at the time of marriage, given that Lopez's divorce papers did not include a prenuptial agreement.


TMZ explained that since there is no prenuptial agreement, the two have to distribute their accumulated wealth over the past two years through this lawsuit.

In the past few months after rumors of a break-up surfaced, the two have attempted to reach an agreement on the division of their assets, but they have become increasingly sharp and have not talked to each other recently, the sources said.

The custody dispute was avoided because there were no children between the two.

The two were Hollywood's leading star couple, who received great public attention as they were affectionately called "Bennifer," a combination of the first letters of their names, as their relationship became known in the early 2000s.

Since then, Affleck has married actress Jennifer Garner and divorced in 2018, and Lopez has three marriages and divorces, including marrying singer Mark Anthony and divorcing in 2014. Lopez also got engaged to MLB legend Alex Rodriguez in 2019 and broke up in 2021.

Since then, Lopez and Affleck have started dating publicly again since July 2021, when they finally got married the following year.

Lopez has twin siblings with ex-husband Anthony, and Affleck has three children with Garner.
